By Our Reporter

RUKUNGIRI: The case in which a reknowned Rukungiri based pastor is accused of defilement has been adjourned to May 23rd 2022.

The Rukungiri Chief Magistrate Mbabazi Mary Edith made the decision in a Monday April 25th 2022 court session.

The court Decision means that Silver Turyamwijuka, the Lead Pastor at Healing and Deliverance Church located in farmers village will languish in prison for another month.

Prosecution alleges that Pastor Turyamwijuka while in Rugyendwa cell, Kyamakanda Parish in Buyanja Sub County Rukungiri district on 12th February 2022 defiled a minor, the allegations he denies.

While adjourning the case, Chief Magistrate Mary Edith Mbabazi noted that it was due to the absence of the State prosecutor who was attending to other duties outside Rukungiri district and never made it to court.
