PDM SACCO LEADERS TO RECEIVE SMART PHONES FROM GOV’T

MASINDI: The Parish Development Model {PDM} program SACCO leaders will be given smart phones by government to assist them in conducting digital transactions on SACCO funds.

The revelation was made by Jackson Katusiime, a master trainer from the PDM Secretariat during the training on PDM SACCO operationalization held at the Masindi Municipal Council Chambers recently.

”The PDM SACCO leaders will be availed with smart phones from government to assist them carry out digital transactions on SACCO funds,” said Katusiime.

Katusiime also disclosed that the government will provide funds for seven enterprise groups under PDM including poultry, fish farming, piggery, food crops, zero grazing, fruits and coffee among others.

The Masindi District Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Robert Abia Owilli applauded the trainer for the training that he said equipped the participants, who are the core PDM team members with skills needed in the successful implimentation of the program in the district.

The programe is aimed at eliminating poverty in the country by ensuring citizens engage in the money economy.
