POLICE VOWS TO ARREST THOSE VIOLATING SOPS ON CHRISTMAS DAY

Speaking to our reporter this afternoon, ASP Julius Allan Hakiza the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson said that since the country is still struggling to defeat the deadly corona virus pandemic, there is need to continue observing the standard operating procedures.
The police officer has challenged people to desist from flouting the standard operating procedures on the Christmas day, he has noted they have tightened their belts and they will arrest those violating the standard operating adding curfew is still in place, and they will put in place roadblocks with the support of army.
The police mouthpiece has also asked people to desist from overcrowded places noting that since we are in festive season, terrorists use the opportunity to operate. On the same note, he has asked religious leaders to convene the number of worshipers as directed by the President Museveni to avoid the spread of corona virus, and reduce the risk of accommodating the terrorists.
ASP Hakiza also noted that this Christmas has been also affected by corona virus, therefore it should be celebrated scientifically unlike in the past years.
