PROPERTY WORTH MILLIONS LOST IN BULIISA SHOP FIRE

BULIISA: Mr. Wandera Felix, a shop owner at Kaheeru Mukirwe building along Buliisa – Paraa Road is counting losses after fire razed his shop and burnt merchandise to ashes.
The shop is located in Buliisa town, Civic Ward in Buliisa Town Council Buliisa district.
According to Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, the fire broke out at around 8pm on Wednesday and burnt merchandise worth 50 million shillings.
”The cause of the fire outbreak hasn’t been identified, we are still investigating,” he said.
The police mouthpiece asserted that residents and police tried to put out the fire but had already burnt the merchandise to ashes.
The three door building has a saloon, shop and the office of Buliisa Constituency Member of Parliament Hon. Allan Atugonza.
However, the saloon, and politician’s office were not affected by the fire.
On 13th September this year, all electrical appliances which were connected to power in Biiso Town Buliisa district were burnt as a result of high power voltage.
