RESIDENTS DISCOVER TWO DEAD BODIES

KWANIA: Residents of Loro village in Apolika parish, Chawente Sub County, Kwania district on Tuesday discovered the body of unidentified man dumped in the area.

The body of the deceased who is suspected to be aged between 30-35 was found along Apolika primary school to Agolowelo P.7 school road.

Patrick Alele, the LCII chairman of Apolika parish said the body was discovered by pupils of Apolika P.7 School who were on their way to school.

Meanwhile, residents of Abei landing site, Atule parish, in Chawente Sub County also found the body of a 50 year old woman who is suspected to have been killed over alleged witchcraft.

The body of Hellen Akot was found cut into pieces near her kraal.

The LCIII chairman of Chawente Sub County Moses Ongu said the deceased had been suspected of witchcraft. He warned people against mob justice, but to use amicable means to settle their differences.

Kwania District Police Commander Charles Mugisha confirmed receiving the reports, adding that he had sent a team of police officers at the scenes of crime.

”I have received the reports, and have already sent the team of police officers at the scene of crime,” he said.
