SAD: FIVE HOUSES BURNT TO ASHES IN MASINDI

MASINDI: Five grass thatched houses in Kitengule village Kiruli sub county Buruli Constituency in Masindi district have been burnt to ashes.
The incident happened on Saturday evening at around 16:00hours.
Edward Baguma Aguda the Kiruli sub county LC3 chairperson told ugreports.com that the fire originated from the verandas where a mother was preparing food. ”The child was playing with the fire and unfortunately came in touch with the grass thatched house, thus burning five houses,” he explained.
The chairperson also explained that the victims lost properties worth shs2.5million. He asked resident to desist from preparing food from the verandas more especially during this dry season.
”No death was registered but victims were left homeless,” he assert.
Baguma also asked good Samaritans to support the victims since they were left homeless.
