GULU: The office of the resident city commissioner is reportedly stuck with a set of assorted Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) military hardware, including a military bag full of assorted military pieces, a military uniform, a military mattress, a makeshift tent, and a military boot.

Upon coordination with other security agencies, the RCC’s office established that the owner of the hardware is one of the people who were arrested at the guest house in August.

Speaking to this publication last evening, Banya revealed that he is receiving a phone call from an unknown person from Arua City claiming ownership of this military hardware.

Banya, however, warned civilians to refrain from donning military attire, saying it was criminal.

He reveals that his office has received one complaint about a man in Laroo who is reportedly wearing a military uniform and threatening the residents of his area, thus assuring that his office has launched investigations into the matter.

The resident city commissioner urged the public to report anybody who is imposing military wear to the relevant authority so that necessary steps are taken.
