MOYO: Police in Moyo district are investigating the circumstances under which a 28-year-old son killed his father in a domestic brawl.
The North West Nile Region Acting Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Dragubu Ignatius, identified the suspect as Vukoni Patrick and the deceased as Edema Paul.
It’s alleged that on Monday, June 11, 2023, at an unknown hour of the night, the deceased picked a quarrel with his wife and began fighting, but later the son also joined them; he picked up a stick and hit the father to death.
Dragubu told our reporter that a team of detectives visited the scene and examined the body, and two suspects were arrested, including the deceased’s wife, identified as Aubutio Alice, aged 48.
‘’Police visited the crime scene, drew a sketch plan, recorded statements from different witnesses, and recovered the exhibit stick,’’ he said.
The police officer said that the lifeless body of Edema Paul was conveyed to Moyo General Hospital for a postmortem by doctors as inquiries continue under Moyo CRB 122/2023.
