SOROTI: AIM GLOBAL ALLIANCE RECRUITERS ARRESTED

The individuals at this illegal training and recruitment exercise had been made to pay between nine hundred thousand shillings (900,000/=) and one million and three hundred thousand shillings (1,300,000/=).

SOROTI: The territorial police of Soroti Central Police Station on Wednesday arrested the leadership of Aim Global Alliance in Soroti city.

The duo identified as Enock Simon Aziz a resident of Serere district, Edward Atinyi from Mbarara district, William Emagu from Kaberamaido district, and Nakato Fiona Adyeri from Masindi district.

Others totalling to 30 persons inclusive of the trainers and the trainees who had gathered at the venue for the illegal activity were also rounded up allegedly recruiting people for jobs and are all currently detained at Soroti Central Police Station.

Oscar Gerigory Ageca, the East Kyoga Police Spokesperson confirmed this during a press release.

The arrest was through intelligence, at Atooti within Soroti City and arrest the leaders of Aim Global Alliance had recruited people from Busoga, Lira, Soroti, Pallisa and other places within the country under the guise of offering them well-paying jobs at fare fee.

“They were currently undergoing training for these alleged job opportunities that Global alliance had secured for them”,  said Ageca.

The policemouth piece also added that all the individuals at this illegal training and recruitment exercise had been made to pay between nine hundred thousand shillings (900,000/=) and one million and three hundred thousand shillings (1,300,000/=).

“We appeal to the public to be aware of unsolicited promises of Jobs, money and privileges that are not earned. This can lead to them being conned of their hard earned monies, or trafficked for the benefit of unscrupulous persons,”Ageca said.

He added that updates shall be provided instant case after sorting all victims from the perpetrators and active participants of this scheme.
