STORM DESTROYS HOUSES IN KIBAALE

KIBAALE: A heavy hailstorm on Wednesday destroyed over ten houses in Ibambura village, Bwamiramira Sub County in Kibaale district.

The heavy downpour characterized by winds destroyed over 10 houses, leaving about 12 pigs, and 5 domestic birds dead.

About 60 households were affected by the devastating downpour that also left Maize, beans, Cassava, Banana plantations, and other garden crops ravaged.

Residents whose property was badly destroyed are calling for help from the district top leaders and Kibaale local government.

Omuhereeza Bingi Aheebwa, the area Chairperson says he has already informed the area agriculture extension worker for possible analysis reports and possible interventions.

Francis Kiiza the area agriculture extension worker for Bwamiramira Sub County soon after compiling the assessment report will be submitted to the Kibaale district Production Department for affirmative action.

This is not the first time a hailstorm destroys property in the district.
