MASINDI: The family of Kabalega Secondary School in Masindi district were Friday morning left in shock after finding their own dead in the dormitory.
Andrew Tumwesige the school headteacher identified the deceased as Edmond Turamusiima, a senior six student who was offering PEM.
The headteacher explains that Turamusiima is suspected to have passed on this morning. ”According to the students, the deceased didn’t wake up for morning preps, and when they returned to the dormitory, they found him still asleep,” he added.
Tumwesige also told ugreports.com that when students found their colleague sleeping, they were prompted to check on him only finding him dead. ”They immediately informed the teacher who contacted me,” he asserted.
The education specialist also explained that he later contacted the parent and reported the matter to police. ”The lifeless body of Turamusiima was taken to Masindi hospital for postmortem but the cause of his death hasn’t been established,” he explained.
Tumwesige described the deceased as a humble student, and asked other students to take a heart.
Albert Mwesigwa the paternal uncle to the deceased said that they were expecting a lot from the deceased since he wanted to be an engineer.
”We expected Turamusiima to be an engineer since it was his dream, its God who gives and takes,” he noted.
In an effort to get a comment from ASP Julius Allan Hakiza the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson was futile by the time of publication since he didn’t respond to our phone calls.
