THREE PUPILS KILLED IN MBALE ACCIDENT
The driver, identified as Lukenge Geoffrey, was arrested to help in the investigation.

MBALE: The traffic police spokesperson, Faridah Nampiima, has identified the deceased pupils as Namugosa Shakira, 9, Wasike Jane, 3.5, and Wasike Grace, 12 years old.
According to Nampiima, one is a pupil of Malukhu Primary School, and the two are pupils of Nabuyonga Primary School, respectively.
She explains that the incident happened on Wednesday at around 7:30 a.m. at the Hash Fuel station along the Mbale-Tororo road, adding that the driver, identified as Lukenge Geoffrey, was arrested to help in the investigation.
‘’Lukenge Geoffrey was arrested to help in investigations, and he is detained at Mbale Central Police Station,’’ she said.
According to Nampiima, findings so far indicate that two tyres of a semi truck with FAO registration number UBH 126J/UAX012V deflected from the axle and hit them to death.
The traffic police spokesperson says that the vehicle was from the Tororo side.
