THUGS STEAL ITEMS FROM BULIISA GOVT OFFICES

BULIISA: Suspected thugs have broken into the office of the Biiso sub county chief in Buliisa district  and taken off with property valued at 10 million shillings.

The incident occured in the wee hours of Monday.

Denis Oyewa, the chairperson Biiso sub county told this website that the thugs took away solar system equipment including two batteries and their connecting cables.

He added that the thugs also tried to break into his office but failed after failing to break the inside padlock.

However Oyewa said that the same thugs proceeded to Biiso town council offices, broke into them and took a computer and a printer valued at  over 20 million shillings.

Peter Oketch, the Mayor Biiso town council explains that the thugs broke the office’s window glass and managed to open its  door, gaining access to the items.

He is  therefore urging the community to be vigilant and report any person found  selling the mentioned equipment to the authorities so that they can be arrested and prosecuted.

Police had not yet released any information regarding the incident at the time of publishing this story.
