TWO NETTED OVER CATTLE THEFT IN BULIISA

BULIISA: The Police in Buliisa District are holding a 27-year-old man on allegations of cattle theft.
The suspect identified as Frank Mugabe, a herdsman from Buliisa district was caught red handed by police loading cows in motor vehicle registration number UBH 582 L on Tuesday night.

ASP John Mwaule the Buliisa District Police Commander told ugreports Wednesday evening that the suspect is in their custody and the vehicle was towed to Buliisa Central Police Station.

The police officer noted that among the cows which were being loaded included three of Agaba a resident of Kigwera sub county and majority were belonging to Mujuni a resident of Buliisa all in Buliisa district.

The District Police Commander further asserted that other suspects who were loading cows with Frank Mugabe escaped on seeing the police.

”Other suspects fled when they saw police, however, we are hunting for them,” Mwaule revealed.

By the time of publication, the motor vehicle driver, and the conductor were at Buliisa Central Police Station recording statements as investigations took shape.
