KABALE: Uganda Communications Commission {UCC} on Tuesday donated ten computers, a printer and headsets to the greater Kabale district public library.

The library is located at Southern Division Headquarters in Kabale Municipality Kabale district.

The UCC technician Mr Waswa Bernard who delivered the computers and handed them over to the Northern Division Authorities said the computers donated will enable the local community access to free internet.

”The purpose of donating these computers is to enable the learners to do research and locals within the district access free internet,” he said.

The Southern Division LC3 Chairperson Mrs. Macklin Batware in an interview with UGReports said that these computers are going to benefit the whole community most especially those who want to acquire skills on the hands of computers.

Batware called upon the public to make good use of the computers and have free training education for the first months as an offer to those who have been interested in computer study.


She added that the Southern Division library is the only public library in greater Kabale district that is Rubanda district, Kabale district and Rukiga district.
