UGANDANS URGED TO EMBRACE COVID-19 VACCINATION EXERCISE

By Stephen Jamugisa

KIRYANDONGO: While addressing journalists on Monday at Kiryandongo district headquarters, Ms Nkuba Esther the District Health Educator {DHO} urged people to get vaccinated against the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

The health expert also challenged the citizens to observe the standard operating procedures to curb the resurgence of the new coronavirus cases in the country.

‘’The government is also targeting children aged between 12 – 17 to get the 2nd dose, booster dose and those who are yet to start the vaccination,’’ she said.

Mr. Murungi Emmanuel the Kiryandongo district communications officer noted that the vaccination doesn’t mean that the vaccinated people are safe from contracting the virus but it boosts the immune system.

He also appealed to the people to embrace the vaccination exercise and desist from listening to the propaganda noting that the vaccines are safe and free.
