UNEB TO SET SEPERATE PLE PAPER FOR 23 CANDIDATES IN KAKUMIRO

KAMPALA: The Uganda National Examination Board {UNEB} will set a seperate Primary Leaving Examination {PLE} mathematics paper for 23 candidates at St. Christine Primary School in Kakumiro who missed it.

Accordingly, a consultative meeting was held today between UNEB and the Ministry of Education and Sports, chaired by the Minister of Education Janet Kataha Museveni.

It was agreed that considering the exceptional circumstances under which the vulnerable candidates pass their examinations after fulfilling all the requirements, the board administers another mathematics paper to affected candidates.

The UNEB Executive Director, Mr. Dan Odongo asked the Inspector of Schools Kakumiro district to report to UNEB for details on arrangements for the administration of an alternative mathematics paper.

According to Odongo, the board emphasizes that this is a one-offs undertaking which shall not be treated as a precedent.
