By Our Reporter

OTUKE: The Uganda People’s Defenses Forces (UPDF) has recovered 30 heads of cattle that were on Tuesday stolen by suspected Karamojong cattle rustlers in Barkeo, Olilim Sub County in Otuke District.

The cattle were stolen as they were grazing on their own around Otuke hill.

Otuke District chairman Francis Abola said the suspected cattle rustlers were intercepted by the UPDF in Alele, Abim District and the cattle were recovered from them as they returned to Karamoja Sub Region and were given back to their owners.

”The cattle rustlers were intercepted by the UPDF in Alele and the cattle were recovered from them as they returned to Karamoja sub region and were gicen back to their owners,” Abola explained.

He warned people against leaving their cattle to roam around on their own to reduce the chances of them being stolen by the cattle rustlers.
