UPDF RECRUITS LDP, DATES FOR BUNYORO ANNOUNCED

MASINDI: Uganda People’s Defense Forces has kicked off the recruitment of local defense personnel (LDP) in the country.  The exercise which kicked off yesterday {Saturday} in different areas targets 10,000 LDPs.

Masindi and Kiryandongo districts recruitment exercise will kick start on 26th /June/2022, which is targeting to recruit strong, physically and medically fit both male and female, aged between 18-30 years meant to serve the nation.

For one to be part of the recruitment exercise, one must be a Ugandan by Nationality, with LC1 recommendation letter, Original National ID, DISO recommendation letter which should be signed and stamped by LC3 chairman and Resident District Commissioner.

The pronouncement was made by Maj. Steven Tumwesigye the Albertine Region Uganda People’s Defense Forces {UPDF} spokesperson, he said the exercise is considering a person with S.4 certificate or its equivalent however, there is still an opportunity for one with S.6 certificate.

Maj. Tumwesigye recounted that there is an added advantage for those who passed science subjects like physics, chemistry and Mathematics both at “O” and “A” level of Education.

He further disclosed the districts to be considered are within Bunyoro sub-county.

He asserted that people with certificates in any field like medicals, Air force, Drivers among others will be recruited on 30th /June/2022 & 1st /July/ 2022 from Kampala in a special category.

The UPDF Spokesperson warned youth against using forged documents saying, you risk being immediately arrested.

He said the recruitment exercise is free and fair.

‘’The youth shouldn’t risk using forged documents; they will risk being arrested because the exercise will be free and fair,’’ he noted.

He urged youth within Mid-western and entire Bunyoro to massively desist from evil acts as they use this opportunity to be employed.
