BUNYORO: Uganda Police Force in liaison with the ministry of public service is conducting a nationwide census for all pensioners and beneficiaries on Uganda police force pension payroll.
The validation exercise in Albertine region is scheduled to take place on 17th-18th July 2022 at Albertine Regional police Headquarter Hoima.
According to ASP Julius Allan Hakiza the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, the purpose of the exercise is to establish the existence and status of pensioners who died and are on police pension payroll to enable Uganda police force management clean the payroll.
He further asserts that the exercise strengthens the creation of sustainable policies, system programs and strategies for effective management of pension and retirement benefits for Uganda Police Force.
‘’Those who will not appear for the exercise shall be deleted from the pension payroll and reactivation shall be upon physical appearance,’’ he says.
The police officer tips that the pensioners/beneficiaries are required to come along with their national Identification cards, letters of administration, death certificate for the deceased and a filled copy of life certificate for those who are 75years and above.
