WATCHMAN ARRESTED FOR STABBING MAN TO DEATH

They managed to arrest the suspect using the police sniffer dog, and he is currently at Kakumiro CPS being charged with murder.

KAKUMIRO: Police in Kakumiro district are holding one Amos Bambe, an Asikari {watchman}, at Kabubwa primary school for allegedly stabbing to death George Tugume, 39, a resident of Kabubwa local council one in Kazike Parish, Kibijo Sub County.

According to Hakiza, the deceased was from Kabubwa trading center on Sunday, June 4, 2023, and lost direction to his home, thus branching 75 meters from the road to the school.

Hakiza says the asikari suspected the deceased to be the wrong person and picked up a knife, stabbed him on the left side of the chest, and when he realized that he had killed him, the asikari took off.

The regional police mouthpiece said they managed to arrest the suspect using the police sniffer dog, and he is currently at Kakumiro CPS being charged with murder.
