BULIISA: Residents of Kabolwa Landing site in Kigoya Parish Buliisa Sub County Buliisa District have expressed concerns over local leaders due to the water shortage in their area.

Usman Businge Gilbert, a resident told ugreports Friday evening that many leaders have promised them to solve water shortage in their area but in vain yet in other areas water shortage have been solved.

”Many leaders have promised to solve this problem, but in vain yet in other areas they have solved the problem,” he decried.

Businge further explained that they have been depending on  ”Waaja” as  the only water source but due to the dry spell, it has dried up.

Residents say they are at risk of contracting diseases like Bilharzia since most of the latrines were submerged by floods contaminating the lake waters.

They are appealing to the leaders to construct a bore hole or extend a tap water system in their area so that the water shortage is solved.
