Kato Lubwama was a businessman, dealing in the maize flour business and several other businesses, including being the director of B24TV in Uganda.

Kato Lubwama believed his first term of office was for him to eat, and then his second term would be for him to eat with his voters.

In the run-up to the 2016 general elections, Lubwama was quoted as asking voters to send him to Parliament so that he could also ‘eat’ on the money given to the legislators.

Kato Lubwama, who contested as an independent candidate, said he left the DP because of its corrupt officials. They formed a pressure group titled ‘Solida,” derived from the word solidarity, and their mission is to regain the former glory of DP.

He’s so passionate about DP, and that’s why he cannot leave for another party.
